Day One: 

Journal:  Have you ever had a strange encounter with an animal?  Tell about it.  If you haven't, think of an unusual one with a pet.

Grammar:    276, do Exercise 13, writing out the paragraph.
Poetry  Read Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner.  Read parts One and Two only for today.  If you struggle with it, read it while listening along with reading in the hyperlink below.

Grammar:  Commas that Enclose.  Read page 277-278, then do 278 Exercise 14 #1-12.
Poetry:  Read Rime of the Ancient Mariner parts 3 and 4.

1. Describe the ship that approaches the doomed ship of the mariner?
2.  How many are on the ghost ship's crew?  Describe them.
3. What does Death do to win the souls of the men on the mariner's ship?
4.  How many men drop dead?

6.  In part IV, why does the wedding guest say he fears the mariner?
7.  Is the mariner a ghost?  What does he tell the wedding guest?
8.  Do the dead begin to rot?  Why or why not, in your opinion?
